AZNRCD's Purpose:

Conservation Districts seek to promote responsible management and use of natural resources:
  1. We encourage voluntary solutions to natural resource problems.
  2. We anticipate key natural resource issues and propose effective policies to address them.
  3. We develop human and other resources
    to address natural resource needs and issues.
  4. We create a forum of communication between diverse natural resource and other groups.

This website is intended to be a resouce for the statewide Conservation Districts (our members) to access information in a timely manner.

We also intend it to be a resource for Conservation District cooperators. If you are not familiar with the statewide network of conservation districts or not aware which district you live in, or just want to learn more about districts please click on the provided link for the district map.

The Title 37 Enabling Statute for AZ's NRCD's can be accessed by clicking here. Title 37

"It is declared the policy of the legislature to provide for the restoration and conservation of lands and soil resources of the state, the preservation of water rights and the control and prevention of soil erosion, and thereby to conserve natural resources, conserve wildlife, protect the tax base, protect public lands and protect and restore this state's rivers and streams and associated riparian habitats, including fish and wildlife resources."
